Day 3
Today was another great day of training for me. I had 3 min warm up and 3 min cool down and 15 min of actual training. I did 4.3 jogging and 3.0 walking. The jogging I did for 20 seconds then walked at the 3.0 for 40 seconds. I can feel just in these past few days that I have gotten a little bit better. Next week I am going to bump it up to 30 second jogging and 30 second walking. I think that I will be just fine if I finish strong this week with the 40/20. Cant wait till I am jogging a full 5k without stopping!!!!

Dreams
Last night I went to a fireside and Jenny Oaks Baker was the speaker. Before I heard about the fireside I did not know much about her. I learned that she is a very well known violinist and is also the daughter of Dallin H Oaks. I watched a few videos of her on you tube and can see why she is so popular. She has a wonderful musical talent. During the fireside she would talk some them play a song that went along with the subject she touched on. One of the things that she touched on was making your dreams become a reality. She quoted the song in Cinderella "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes". A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
the dream that you wish will come true
The fireside was truly inspiring me for me in truly striving to workout harder and make the dream a reality of being fit and healthy and being able to run. I am so glad that I went to that fireside because it was just what I needed to hear during this time for the goals that I am setting for myself.
This morning I was at the gym by 455 on the treadmill. I jogged/walked 1/2 in 8:37 as a warm up then worked out with my trainer for about 20-25 min. I need to keep this up almost everyday to reach my goal and if I continue I know that I will reach my dream!

Training
Today I decided that I wanted to focus more on training and learning how to run so I am going to blog about it to help keep me focused and more accountable. I downloaded an app that lets me customize my time on walking and running. Today I did 20 min total. I did a 5 min warm up, 10 min workout time with 15 seconds of running then 45 seconds of walking intervals, and then did a 5 min cool down. I was able to do one mile in that 20 minutes. Each time I am going to work to improve my time and get conditioned to be able to run a Ragnar Relay with my coworkers. I do not want to be a person anymore that can't do all these fun things with other people because I am heavy. I want to start living an active lifestyle and be able to participate in tons of fun things with many people.
